This is coming after a long time. Almost first time since I have started working at a company.

My first job was at 3DMedia and I had a really awesome learning experience over there. But I wasn't feeling challenged at my work and so I decided that I have to change jobs. And in November 2011, I made a switch to a company in Atlanta called, Beena Vision.

I was happy in Raleigh as far as I remember. I did make some very good friends and personally I would remember them always. Thanks Aaks, GG, John, Mindy and Izzat for becoming a part of my extended family.

Last year was very tragic for me. I have still not been able to get over what had happened on the night of 26th when I was in India. I had lost someone whom I loved more than anything - he was my inspiration, my idol, my guru - he was my dad.

Happy :)

Hey

Well it has been since a long time I wrote anything on the blog.

Few major things happened in between though....
1. I completed my graduation........yipeee....pics are on facebook :D

2. I got a job...yes I did....after a long and frustrating struggle....so its with a company named 3D Media in Raleigh(North Carolina) and my post is Senior Research Engineer....this was a big breakthrough for me and I was so happy after that...

3. I visited India...yes after a wait of 2 years 2 months and 6 days.....I met my parents, my whole family and had my best time recently....

Being with them and especially during the festive season was really wonderful....I spent most of my time in Bhagalpur(my home town) and I was not able to go to lot of places to meet my special friends....sorry Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore...wasn't able to go there...But I did visit Kolkata...the place where I spent my 4 wonderful years...and I met my friends which was more special...thanks Praphulla for providing me a place to crash :P.....also I met my childhood friend Anish after a gap of 9 years almost...met my wonderful friends...Ankita, Pritam, Rajesh and Rupam :)

It was very nice time at home...Had lot of Indian food...No burgers, pizza or any other food can beat the taste of food made by mom, it has some special ingredients, i bet....also revived my taste with samosas, phuckas, chat, sweets...wow, they taste so awesome

But this awesome trip had to come to an end....as I had to join my company in Raleigh on 8th Nov....So I left Delhi on the night of Diwali but I did celebrate it before with my brother :)....And T3 at IGI Airport, awesome work by those guys...really looks classy and world class...but one problem - doesn't have free internet :P

Now I am back to US....moved to a new city named Raleigh....seeing the Fall colors first time as there is not much of that in Florida....My office people are really awesome and very helpful...I am liking my workplace.....But after office its boring...Miss India and my Gator friends back in GNV...

Well I hope to find some good friends here....

Till then.... good bye :):)

2 YEARS

Today its 2 years away from India. Not seeing my parents and best friends since such a long time makes me feel sad. Few days back tears rolled out of my eyes when my mom said "...nehi malum, kitne dino ke baad apne bete ko dekh paayenge" (don't know, when i will be able to see my son)

Well, 2 years was kind of a roller coaster ride. There were happy as well as sad instances. At the start life was not easy, I used to miss my parents and friends a lot. And India, having all its imperfections, still makes you feel proud in calling it your motherland. Though our university is a desi hub but there is something about India which I just can't identify. Sometimes I just feel like being in the streets of Kolkata listening to the continuous sounds from buses, cars, etc. Other times I long being in my cozy home in Bhagalpur. I just feel like going and seeing my India.

Since the last 2 months, life is playing tricks with me. I have been trying hard to achieve something and something or the other is pushing me down the ladder. Sometimes it feels like "When you want something so badly than the whole universe conspires in such a manner that you don't get it". Only when I am able to get hold of that this 2 year fast is going to end. I thank my family members and friends who are helping me a lot in this fight with their encouraging words. Guys, keep the good wishes coming in.

On the good part, I am graduating this Saturday as "Master of Science, University of Florida" :)
My family is really proud of me, as I am the first one from my village to have a Foreign Masters degree :D:D:D
If I succeed in getting a job then it will make them more proud...
Also, I would like to thank my 3 special friends KC, SH and AD(or AG) for the wonderful graduation gift. It was a great surprise.

Wait a few days for graduation photos. Also my graduation ceremony would be live at

Till then good bye

Spain Wins...

So, Spain are the world champions of 2010.

And Inniesta took them to heaven. Personally feel happy that Spain as I was rooting in for 2 teams from start of the tournament - Brazil and Spain. Brazil lost to Dutch but Spain defeated them and felt happy.

I personally love the class of play shown by Spanish players - their passing game is a treat to watch and though their goal margins are not big but most of the time they have proved themselves to be the better side.

Spain reached the finals for the first time and they won it. Madrid must have gone mad tonight and Nadal rightly said that they should party for one year. They deserved the win. Also, Spain is the only team who has lost its first group-stage match and then also went on to win the world cup.

Hats off to the Spaniards.....Mr. Paul gets it 10/10...

Spain! Spain! Spain!

Ctrl+Alt+Del...Restart

I always want to keep updating my blog but my laziness keeps me pulling down.

Lot of things have happened since my 1st post in 2009....

Ok! So, I will take you down my memory lane and visit those lovely moments

1. One of the sweetest memories would be my South Korea trip. I must say its a sure shot country to visit for any travel freak. Beautiful sceneries, amazing technology, cute girls, different food and drinks and overall an awesome time. The whole South Korea story in some other post.

2. Second would be that my best friend decided to get married and she is getting married in 2010. I wish her a happy married life ahead and I have to be in her marriage this year.

3. Another wonderful memory would be that I have become Mamu once more. My sister gave birth to a cute boy on 30th December, 2009 and his name is Vyom. By the way give me credits for coining that name :)

4. Then another incident was that one of my another best friend and my motivator, KC, got an admit for doing his MS in Simon Fraser University in Canada. I must say perseverance pays off and it rightly did for him. He is enjoying his life there and I am happy for him.

5. Another important thing which happened in last one year was my Germany trip for 5 months. I was there for internship and I had an experience to cherish. I made some very good friends over there. I will try to write one post on my 5 months over there.

6. A sad moment was the loss of my Professor and advisor, Dr. K. Clint Slatton. He lost the battle of more than one year against the ghost cancer. The name of this disease makes me sick as I have seen some very close persons to me losing the fight to it. Hope the medical world finds a permanent weapon for it.

Apart from these major incidents, my life has been going through lots of ups and downs. People say that there is light at the end of tunnel and I am waiting to see that light. Hope God and all your prayers are with me :)

Till the next post, goodbye. I promise to be more regular :)

Cheers
Vivek

Hello World

Strange Indeed! Any computer language book you open, the first thing they will teach you is how to write Hello World. So, I am also following the same pattern and publishing "HELLO WORLD".

This is my first post. Don't know how regular I can be but I want to write down my experience and share with my friends. So there would be nothing better than a blog to express myself.

Lot of enthusiasm and zeal while starting this blog. Hope this remains.

Signing off,
Vivek :)
